We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Associate Specialist to join our exceptional rehabilitation service in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental illness, including those with personality disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and admissions of new patients to the service
  • Collaborate with other professionals and family members to gather collateral histories
  • Formulate diagnoses in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team
  • Complete physical health assessments and work closely with our GP's and Physical Health Nurse to improve patient physical wellbeing
  • Prepare discharge letters, reports, and SOAD forms
  • Support the effective functioning of the Care Programme Approach and Care and Treatment Plans for service users
  • Liaise with external professionals and work collaboratively with commissioners and external care teams to ensure seamless transitions to the community
  • Contribute to service development through participation in Clinical Governance activities, quality initiatives, audits, research, and teaching
  • Under the supervision of the Consultant, provide leadership of the clinical team and prepare First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearing reports
Requirements
  • Experience working in psychiatry within multidisciplinary teams
  • Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists
  • Recent appraisal/RITA
  • At least 3 years' experience in Psychiatry
  • Experience working as a doctor in a similar environment
