About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of critical Defence Infrastructure projects. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of sophisticated Capital Infrastructure projects, with a focus on Performance, Cost, and Time. You will work closely with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) team to ensure the successful delivery of projects that meet the needs of the Defence community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project teams to deliver agreed project outcomes
  • Supervise the delivery of benefits against the business case and ensure appropriate approvals and assurance plans are in place
  • Identify and set appropriate project controls, tracking and reporting delivery against milestones and budgets
  • Schedule and run project resources
  • Manage project partners and connect with them at all levels
  • Identify and supervise project risks and issues and ensure effective change management processes exist
  • Provide key reports and support effective governance and decision-making and control of projects and their place in a programme and Portfolio
Requirements
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Due to the nature of the role and the team being spread across the UK, there will be a need for travel to various DIO sites. Visits to Construction Sites may be required to remote areas that are inaccessible by other transport means.
