Head of Estates Management

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as Head of Estates Management at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the strategic management of our estates and facilities, ensuring that our buildings and infrastructure are safe, efficient, and effective in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive estates strategy that aligns with the Trust's overall objectives and priorities.
- Manage and maintain our estate portfolio, including buildings, infrastructure, and equipment, to ensure that they are safe, efficient, and effective.
- Lead and manage a team of estates professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure that they have the skills and expertise needed to deliver high-quality services.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring that we are using our resources effectively and efficiently to deliver our estates and facilities services.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that our estates and facilities services are integrated with other Trust services and that we are working together to achieve our objectives.
- Ensure that our estates and facilities services are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including health and safety, environmental, and accessibility requirements.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that our estates and facilities services are delivered in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
- Extensive experience in estates management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets, with a strong understanding of financial management and control.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including health and safety, environmental, and accessibility requirements.
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures, with a strong understanding of governance and compliance.
