Head of Estates Management

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as Head of Estates Management at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our estates team and play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the estates team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and the effective management of our estate.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our estates operations.
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure the effective delivery of estates services.
- Work closely with clinical teams to ensure that estates services are aligned with clinical needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of estates services.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Lead on the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to estates management.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the estates team to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality estates services.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the estates team and make recommendations for improvement.
- Extensive experience in operational estate management at a senior level.
- Authorised Person or equivalent for engineering installations or systems.
- Energy and utility management.
- Budgetary control, planning, and forecasting.
- Experience of implementing quality controls, processes, and procedures.
- Backlog maintenance assessment.
- Management of minor works process.
- Project/contract management.
- Financial and management control systems.
- NHS experience.
- A BSc or BA degree in a relevant field, or equivalent qualification and experience.
- Membership of a professional institution such as CIBSE, IEE, IMechE, IHEEM, etc.
- PRINCE 2.
- Knowledge of current Building Regulations and LFCDA specifications.
