Lancashire County Council is seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Assistant to join our team. As a Disability Support Assistant, you will provide support to adults with disabilities in their own homes, enabling them to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support adults with disabilities with daily tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Encourage and enable individuals to participate in activities and experiences that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, promoting their dignity and respect.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience working with adults with disabilities, preferably in a care or support setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with complex needs.
