About Highland Hospice:
Highland Hospice provides specialist palliative care services to patients across the Highlands. Our team delivers expert care, comfort, and support to those who need it most.
The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our team as a Home Care Worker. In this role, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide personalized care and support.
Key Tasks:
- Support patients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Contribute to the delivery of holistic care plans, focusing on patient-centered goals.
- Engage in regular communication with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
Necessary Qualifications and Experience:
- SQN 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification (or willingness to work towards this).
- Experience in caring/support work or a related field (paid or unpaid).
- Valid full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Certificates in manual handling, moving and handling, and basic life support would be beneficial.
