The Mechanical Supervisor will play a key role in our Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation, working as part of a team to support our key programmes. Reporting to an Operations Lead, this role will provide direct control, oversight, mentoring and is responsible for supervising technicians in the execution of their maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and plan technical work for a small group of aircraft technicians, ensuring the standards and certification of associated aircraft paperwork are completed in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure the team has the necessary authorisations and training to perform their tasks, and that they are aware of and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and control technical work, identifying and mitigating risks and escalating emerging issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to continuous improvement workshops and projects, and participate in the development of new processes and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver aircraft maintenance under clients' own MAA MRP Part 145 approval or under the approval of the MOD customer.
- Proven technical knowledge and ability to supervise, plan, sequence, distribute and control technical work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Proficient computer skills, with experience of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work flexibly, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and processes applicable to the aviation environment.
