About the Job

We are seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at Kings College Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work within a multidisciplinary team, specializing in emergency/acute medicine, specialist medicine, and rehabilitation of older people.

As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to develop your managerial and supervisory skills while gaining valuable experience throughout the medical pathway and specialist medicine. Continuing professional development is encouraged through the appraisal system, and there is a well-established in-service education programme.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality physiotherapy services to patients across various clinical areas, including acute medical units, emergency departments, and community physiotherapy services.
  • To assess, plan, and progress treatment for patients with a range of conditions and problems affecting adults, including older people in an acute setting.
  • To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to deliver holistic care to patients.
  • To participate in on-call and weekend rotas as required.
Requirements
  • Degree or other recognized qualification in physiotherapy.
  • HPC registration.
  • Wide-ranging post-graduate clinical experience, including musculo-skeletal, orthopaedics, respiratory, elderly, and neurology.
  • Knowledge and understanding of a broad range of conditions and problems affecting adults, including older people in an acute setting.
  • Good assessment skills and varied rehab techniques.
  • Able to give clear, concise written and verbal reports in English and complete SOAP documentation.
  • Able to work effectively in busy and challenging environments coping with periods of interruption.
