About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Fundraising and Events Manager to join our team at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. As a key member of our Community Fundraising and Events Team, you will play a vital role in delivering fundraising income, recruiting and supporting volunteer and community fundraising supporters, engaging and supporting volunteers and colleagues, and promoting our organization in line with our strategy and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to meet income targets and support the growth of our community fundraising program.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community groups, organizations, and individuals to secure fundraising opportunities and support.
  • Recruit, train, and support a team of volunteer fundraisers and community champions to help deliver fundraising income and promote our organization.
  • Work closely with our events team to plan and deliver successful fundraising events that engage our supporters and raise vital funds for our cause.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our fundraising activities and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in community fundraising, events management, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting targets.
  • Computer literacy and experience with MS365 applications, as well as knowledge of databases and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
