Burges Salmon is seeking a skilled Projects Specialist to join our multi-sector Projects Department. As a key member of our specialist Procurement team, you will be responsible for delivering service excellence on client matters and participating in cultural initiatives that underpin life at the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building the Culture: Deliver service excellence on all client matters and participate in cultural initiatives that underpin life at the firm.
  • Delivering Results: Achieve personal objectives and be aware of how to focus contribution to support the firm's overall aims. Plan, control and resource matters effectively, delegating where appropriate and monitor delivery.
  • Growing our People: Actively contribute to the development of those you have responsibility for. Establish standing as an 'expert' in chosen area / sector. Identify and take advantage of opportunities broaden technical / client experience.
  • Developing our Business: Deepen understanding of client needs and expectations, identify opportunities to lead CRM activities, build own network and cross-refer work where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Practical experience of advising on regulated procurement and commercial contracts.
  • Strong team player, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage complex and varied workload effectively.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn.
  • Experience of leading others to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer.
