Warehouse Operations Manager

As a key member of the Redwood Search team, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse-related activities, ensuring seamless operations, and driving efficiency improvements.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management, and the ability to motivate and manage a team to achieve high-quality results.
Main Responsibilities:- Coordinate closely with the Production Manager to schedule works and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Maintain and drive high-quality product standards, ensuring compliance with business accreditations.
- Closely manage team activities, implement efficiency improvements, and monitor department and business Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality requirements.
- Coordinate business logistics, including finished products, waste, and recycling, as well as transporting raw materials.
- Manage the off-site warehouse, ensuring the same standards as the main site.
- Set out training plans for direct reports, ensure correct induction and onboarding training, and conduct annual safety training for the Warehouse and Production Teams.
- Work closely with Production, Purchasing, and other relevant departments to organize the efficient handling of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
- Assist the Purchasing Manager and lead with company stock takes.
- Communicate any warehouse challenges to senior management when required.
- Plan weekly vehicle schedules, ensure effective use of company vehicles and resources, and complete annual driver assessment checks.
- Monitor and enforce department and business Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality requirements.
- Arrange yearly appraisals and catch-ups with the team, identifying opportunities for improvement, targets, and new responsibilities.
- Create Warehouse and Health and Safety reports as required by the business, including Near Misses and Accidents.
- Create and update storage and warehouse floor plans and standards, including product line capacity.

- Computer Literate. Previous use of Sage 200 would be an advantage.
