As a key member of the Redwood Search team, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse-related activities, ensuring seamless operations, and driving efficiency. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and manage a team to achieve high-quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:- Coordinate closely with Production Manager to schedule works and prioritize tasks.
- Maintain and drive high-quality product standards, ensuring compliance with business requirements.
- Manage team activities, implement efficiency improvements, and monitor performance metrics.
- Coordinate business logistics, including finished products, waste, and recycling, as well as transporting raw materials.
- Manage off-site warehouses, ensuring consistent standards across all locations.
- Develop and implement training plans for direct reports, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
- Ensure new employees are properly inducted and onboarded, with comprehensive training and support.
- Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and other relevant departments to optimize the handling of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Assist the Purchasing Manager and lead with company stock takes, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
- Communicate warehouse challenges to senior management as needed.
- Conduct annual safety training for Warehouse and Production Teams, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
- Provide holiday cover for the Production Manager when required, ensuring seamless operations.
- Plan and manage the weekly vehicle schedule, ensuring effective use of company resources.
- Complete annual driver assessment checks every 6 and 12 months, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure adherence to business accreditations and standards.
- Monitor and enforce department and business Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality requirements.
- Arrange yearly appraisals and catch-ups with the team, identifying opportunities for improvement and setting targets.
- Create Warehouse and Health and Safety reports as required, including near misses and accidents.
- Develop and update storage and warehouse floor plans, ensuring optimal product line capacity.
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager to ensure Warehouse H&S and quality standards are met.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Continuous improvement and lean warehousing expertise.
- Project management and issue resolution skills.
- Effective communication and computer literacy.
- Performance management and warehouse knowledge.
- HSEQ experience and a strong understanding of business operations.
