At TFG London, we're on the lookout for a highly skilled Product Development Assistant to join our esteemed Footwear and Accessories department. This exciting opportunity will also involve overseeing our Swimwear product.

The successful candidate will partner closely with our design and buying departments to ensure the impeccable quality and technical capabilities of our products from initial prototype to delivery. Our team rigorously evaluates our supply base for social and ethical sustainability, monitoring new and existing suppliers' compliance with our standards of production and delivery.

This pivotal role focuses on assisting our technical team by evaluating fit and attending weekly fit sessions throughout the department. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all technical packs are thoroughly updated and complete while keeping suppliers informed about our technical standards and procedures
  • Conducting regular store visits and competitor research to maintain commercial awareness of key trends and competitors in our market space
  • Supporting our Senior Technologist on risk assessments as well as wearer trials to guarantee that our products meet our high standards and expectations
  • Collaborating with the Technical team to drive the implementation of our sustainable strategy, ensuring our sustainable certification paper trails are meticulously maintained and submitted to our Wholesale/Concession partners as required

About You

We're looking for an individual who possesses in-depth knowledge of garment construction and basic pattern cutting, along with the ability to participate in fit sessions with guidance from our Technical team. Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills are essential for success in this challenging role. Experience with footwear, accessories, or swimwear is beneficial but not a requirement.
