We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at our Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in Greenwich.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Speech and Language team to ensure effective service delivery. This will involve planning and prioritizing a complex clinical caseload, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, and providing and evaluating interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Speech and Language team to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Plan and prioritize a complex clinical caseload with advanced specialist assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to diagnose, problem formulate, and rehabilitate patients.
  • Provide and evaluate interventions as part of an MDT approach and implement service developments.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, the MDT, and external agencies.
  • Develop and deliver in-service education and training programs for the wider MDT.
  • Ensure the safety and rights of individuals under your care.
Requirements:
  • HCPC registration
  • Postgraduate dysphagia training
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at Band 7 level in a neurorehabilitation setting
  • Supervisory experience
  • Proven ability to manage a complex caseload independently in neurorehabilitation
