Western Power is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our team of world-leading experts in Perth Office CBD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking complex engineering program development, planning, and designs associated with Western Power or third-party facilities connected to the Distribution Network.

About this role

As the Senior Project Engineer, you will be accountable for:

  • Maintaining a safe working environment
  • Continuous improvement and innovation within the team
  • Sharing technical knowledge and information
  • Developing and improving own personal effectiveness
  • Developing and nurturing those engineers in lower-level positions through imparting knowledge
  • Scheduling and planning own daily and weekly allocated work to meet targets
  • Providing support to project management plans
  • Supporting the work of team members
  • Providing technical support across other work groups

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Eligible for corporate membership of The Institution of Engineers, Australia
  • At least 8 to 10 years' extensive experience in an engineering discipline, preferably within a utility engineering company
  • A sound knowledge of distribution standards, policies, and procedures
