Senior Planner Role in Award-Winning Main Contractor

Salary: £85,000 per annum

Location: West London

Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join their team in West London. This permanent role offers an exceptional opportunity to work with a leading Main Contractor known for delivering high-quality projects.

The company has been operating for over a century and boasts an impressive portfolio of mixed-use, commercial, and residential schemes. As a Senior Planner, you will play a vital role in providing construction planning services across various stages, from pre-qualification to contract completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender Programmes and Method Statements: Develop detailed tender programmes and method statements for inclusion in submissions, ensuring a structured approach to the company's planning strategy.
  • Contract Planning Service: Offer a comprehensive contract planning service, including target programmes, procurement schedules, progress monitoring, and reprogramming as required.
  • Presentations and Meetings: Represent the company at pre-qualification, tender, and contract interviews, presentations, and meetings, showcasing the company's expertise and commitment to excellence.
  • Research and Innovation: Conduct ongoing research into new and innovative building techniques, advising the Head of Planning and tender/contract teams on potential benefits.
  • Site Visits: Visit sites to gather insights into conditions and constraints, informing the preparation of tender programmes and method statements.
  • Scaffold and Crane Schedules: Assess requirements and provide comprehensive scaffold and crane schedules to support competitive and realistic quotations.
  • Information Release Schedules: Provide timely information release schedules to the contract team.
  • Comparative Programmes: Compile comparative programmes for substantiation of claims or disputes.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. Economic Programming Solutions: Develop optimum economic and realistic programming solutions, effectively communicating these to internal and external contacts.
  2. Experience: Extensive experience working on large mixed-use, commercial, and residential schemes for a reputable Main Contractor.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Asta Power Project, Microsoft Project, and MS Office.
  4. Local Authority Regulations: Up-to-date knowledge of Local Authority Regulations.
