Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Anatomical Pathology Technologist. As a key member of our mortuary service, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality service to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high-quality mortuary service, including the release and receipt of deceased individuals and organizing viewings for relatives.
  • Assist in the majority of technical procedures related to post-mortem examinations, covering adults, road traffic accident victims, suspicious deaths, high-risk, and forensic cases.
  • Liaise with staff, Coroner's officers, funeral directors, families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Work towards gaining qualifications that will lead to attaining the level 3 Diploma and then level 4 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology awarded by the Royal Institute of Public Health.
Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to attend the mortuary on a daily basis from Monday to Friday. On-call, overtime, and weekend work for special post-mortems may be required and are remunerated.
