About Our UnitOur 18-bed Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) serves as the hub for paediatric critical care across the southwest region of England, delivering a full range of tertiary services. We specialise in a variety of paediatric subspecialties, including:
- Trauma & Burns
- Neurosurgery
- General Surgery
- Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery
- Renal Transplant
- Respiratory
- Ear Nose and Throat
- Metabolic Medicine
- Neurology

Main DutiesAs a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating prescribed treatment and care for patients and their families.
- Administering medicines in accordance with Trust policy.
- Developing clinical skills and participating in continuous professional development.
- Providing accurate, timely, and contemporary records of care and treatment in line with Trust record-keeping policy and NMC.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a nurse who:
- Has broad knowledge and experience of clinical nursing practice within a hospital environment.
- Is competent in calculations for safe administration of medicines/fluids.
- Can work with minimum supervision.
Is able to speak fluent English to an appropriate standard.
Has RSCN/RN child branch (NMC registered) or equivalent, and current NMC registration.
