About the Role

The BPA Implementation Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of various activities associated with the implementation and ongoing administration of Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-execution data and operational complexity due diligence.
  • Scheme onboarding and trustee management.
  • Shadow administration, including buy-in payroll and member option validation.
  • Data flow and control, as well as data cleanse and true-up.
  • Transition to buy-out, including policyholder communication and admin and payroll transition.
  • Ongoing reporting, including management information and valuation extracts.

About You

  • Experience in BPAs and defined benefit pensions administration is preferred.
  • Ability to review contracts and extract relevant information for key milestones.
  • Understanding of reinsurance is desirable.
  • Comfortable with actuarial spreadsheet models and data migration challenges.
  • Understanding of the defined benefit pension market and operational challenges.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as APMI, are desirable.
  • Credible individual with a financial background and experience managing senior stakeholders.
