Job Summary

Vodafone is seeking a highly skilled ESG Transformation Manager to join our Group Sustainable Business Team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that Vodafone's sustainable business strategy and processes are correct and that our stakeholders are engaged to deliver high-quality ESG disclosures.

About the Role

This role has been created to drive the transformational programmes across our complex and senior set of stakeholders to ensure knowledge, engagement, support, and alignment. The successful candidate will design and implement a strategy and pathway to close gaps against the mandatory CSRD reporting requirements by 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • CSRD business partnering with functions and markets globally to achieve compliance against requirements.
  • Cross functional stakeholder management to identify CSRD requirement gaps in business functions, and design and implement strategy to close gaps.
  • Manage external advisors and contractors to determine critical priorities for CSRD alignment and timeline for delivery.
  • Establish and maintain performance management programme to monitor and report on targets and glidepaths.
  • Produce regular management reporting on level of compliance with ESG regulation.
  • Manage and monitor risk to compliance, including escalation through relevant governance forums and development of recommended mitigation actions in collaboration with the relevant business owners.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of ESG regulation.
  • Experience in sustainability strategy design and implementation, including developing KPIs.
  • Advanced project management skills to steer strategies across multi-functional workstreams.
  • Experience in change management in a multi-national and cultural environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to engage, manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated experience of designing and implementing compliance or ESG strategies.
  • Proven record of driving sustainability initiatives and excellent knowledge of ESG requirements.
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed organisation.
