About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Land and Air Systems (LAS) business unit as a Manufacturing Test Technician. In this role, you will work closely with existing team members, Work Cell Managers, and Manufacturing Engineers in delivering the outputs from the relevant work cell as per the business requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • To perform complex Manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation provided to the quality standards expected in a timely and professional manner.
  • To adhere to the defined Company processes when carrying out all tasks.
  • Perform self-assessment and approval of products.
  • To input and support any continuous improvement actions being worked on within Industry.
  • To be able to detect any fault or non-compliance and if necessary raise the alert. In addition, when able, contribute to diagnostics and the finding of the cause/root analysis.
  • To manage and record build configuration of product.
  • To use the company tools (IBS, Palma, etc.) when carrying out product assembly tasks.

Your Skills and Experience

You should have a few years' experience, preferably in a manufacturing background, and are looking for your next career move. You will need to be able to work unsupervised and be a motivated self-starter.

  • Ability to assemble and test products to a high standard.
  • Test, diagnose, and repair various electronic systems and sub-assemblies to component level.
  • To have an awareness/understanding of Manufacturing processes.
  • Focussed on meeting deadlines with good time management and prioritisation skills.
  • The ability to work on own initiative when required.
  • The ability to work and contribute as a team player.
  • A basic level of PC skills.
  • Experience in working within an Industrial/Engineering environment is essential.
  • An electrical/electronic qualification would be advantageous.
