Job Overview

In this contract position, you will lead sourcing activities, negotiate contracts, and optimize cost opportunities for aerospace and industrial components. With a strong focus on project management, you will integrate procurement into project workflows and control all procurement resources and activities. Your excellent commercial, contractual, and project management acumen will be essential in analyzing customer inquiries, supporting project calculation with reliable material cost data, and driving procurement strategies in projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and outstanding Excel skills. A hybrid working arrangement with twice a week in-office work is available in Leamington Spa. The role offers a rewarding opportunity for a motivated and experienced procurement professional to develop and deliver robust and integrated commodity and supplier strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate procurement in project management process and organize, control and monitor all procurement activities in a project.
  • Participate in project/sales meetings as project core team member to exert a shaping influence at an early stage and to optimize internal workflows and processes.
  • Establish proper sourcing and procurement processes and control all procurement resources and activities in the project.
  • Analyze customer inquiries during bid preparation/opportunity management phases and exactly understand the customer's functional needs in order to include (supplier) innovations.
  • Support project calculation with reliable material cost data.
  • Analyze scope of supply and contract agreements, carry out risk analyses and introduce negotiation recommendations.
  • Analyze sales and operations planning in respect of starting/new projects, assessing and controlling of material costs within the whole project business in order to ensure the involvement of procurement.
  • Drive procurement strategies in projects and ensure their implementation.
  • Head up contractual and price negotiations and/or support the specialist buyers responsible for particular material fields.
  • Clarify internal indicators for project controlling and compiling all relevant information to submit qualified reports.
  • Forward systematically all relevant procurement related project information.
