Vice President of Fleet Operations

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to fill the position of Fleet Manager at our Cheshire West location.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing large fleets and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Fleet Optimization Strategies: Develop and execute plans to enhance vehicle availability and efficiency.
  2. Maintenance and Repairs Coordination: Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, including servicing and MOTs, to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  3. Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze data from fleet telematics systems to identify areas for improvement and recommend evidence-based solutions.
  4. Procurement and Vehicle Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire vehicle lifecycle, from procurement to replacement, to maintain a high-performing fleet.
  5. Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure all vehicles adhere to current legislation, minimizing the risk of non-compliance and potential penalties.
  6. Manufacturer Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vehicle manufacturers to address technical issues and optimize vehicle performance.
  7. Partnership Development and Coordination: Foster partnerships with external workshops to optimize vehicle maintenance and reduce costs.
  8. Performance Metrics and Reporting: Develop and disseminate regular reports on fleet performance, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  9. ESG Strategy Integration: Contribute to the development and implementation of Austin Fraser's ESG strategy, focusing on sustainable practices within the fleet.
Key Requirements:
  1. Proven Track Record: Possess extensive experience working as a fleet manager, preferably with large fleets and national coverage.
  2. Fleet Telematics and TMS Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in utilizing Fleet Telematics and Transport Management Systems to analyze data and enhance fleet performance.
  3. Fleet Performance Enhancement: Showcase a history of improving fleet performance, including improved driver behavior, increased MPG, and optimized fleet utilization.
  4. Regulatory Compliance Focus: Exhibit a strong focus on adhering to regulatory requirements and maintaining a compliant fleet.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, influencing decision-making processes and driving collaborative efforts.
  6. Commercial Acumen: Display a deep understanding of commercial principles and a capacity for informed business decisions.

The successful candidate will be offered a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, plus benefits, making this an exciting opportunity for those seeking a challenging and rewarding role.
