About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Technical Officer to join our team at Albyn Housing Society. As a key member of our customer and property services team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional services to our 3,700 customers across 70 rural and urban communities in the Highlands.

As we continue to recover from the pandemic and face the many and mounting current economic challenges, we are delivering and developing services in new and innovative ways, including participating in a hybrid working model of 'Hub, Home and Roam'. This means you can still see colleagues face-to-face, work efficiently from home, and offer community-based service delivery, meeting customers, and visiting them in their homes or local communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage contractors to ensure service delivery within set standards.
  • Undertake Stock Condition Surveys of void properties.
  • Record all tenant interaction on the CRM system, Civica CX, and Asset Management System (Asprey).
  • Utilize good ICT skills, including Microsoft 365, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and online and cloud-based applications.
  • Experience in surveys and diagnosis of building-related defects.
  • Ability to understand bills of quantities, building contracts, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to travel within the Highlands and occasionally outside the Highlands.
