About the Role

SER Limited is seeking a skilled Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining production lines and plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Electrical Work - Reading electrical diagrams to re-wire and repair single phase and three phase motors, as well as working on electrical circuits, wiring, and re-wiring.
  • Maintenance Operations - Leading service and repair of machinery, equipment, and assets, including commissioning new machinery, handling breakdowns, service, and installation.
  • Mechanical Tasks - Working on mechanical issues, including pneumatics, and replacing ethernet cables and dealing with 415v machinery.
Essential Skills
  • Electrical Knowledge - Strong electrical background with mechanical experience, and ability to understand electrical diagrams and work with single phase and three phase motors.
  • Industry Experience - Experience in packaging, FMCG, industrial, or another manufacturing industry, with a related qualification in mechanical engineering or similar.
  • Education - A HNC, HND, Level 3, or a 1-2 year City & Guilds qualification is also welcome.
Salary and Benefits

A competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £53,518 per annum, plus benefits including 25 days holiday, training & development, EAP scheme, onsite mental health and well-being support, and a 6% private pension. The role involves a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, working 6AM - 6PM and 6PM - 6AM, based in Northampton.
