About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Mail Group as a Senior Pricing Executive - Hybrid/Farringdon. As a key member of the Deal Desk team, you will play a crucial role in maximizing value from customer-specific deals across our Parcel, International, and Retail Letters products.

Working closely with our Sales team, you will aim to protect RMG's contribution while fostering growth opportunities wherever possible. You will be responsible for managing and influencing a variety of stakeholders, including Legal, Regulatory, Operations, and Finance Teams, to ensure that all non-standard pricing is approved and compliant.

You will build a true strategic working relationship with key sales stakeholders to gain insight into customers, often through accompanied customer visits, helping to build extra value into deals and generate extra revenue for Royal Mail.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and influencing stakeholders to ensure compliant pricing
  • Building strategic relationships with sales stakeholders to gain customer insights
  • Generating insight, market, and competitor analysis to build value into deals
  • Take ownership of deal pricing models and understanding of how costs vary with specific customer profiles
  • Providing supplementary support for Domestic Parcels deals
  • Learning and leading on all aspects of in-life management of both domestic and international account customers through Vistex
  • Providing specific cover for the Deal Desk Senior Pricing Manager for escalated pricing issues

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in commercial pricing and revenue growth. You will have excellent mathematical and Excel skills, with experience of examining large data sets and using models. You will also have proven commercial acumen and good business sense to think strategically and identify opportunities.

Key requirements include:

  • Excellent mathematical and Excel skills
  • Proven commercial acumen and business sense
  • Analytical degree and experience in numerical work
  • Good Royal Mail and Parcelforce Worldwide Operations and product/competitor knowledge
  • Good financial understanding of the business, especially with regards to cost contribution and margin analysis
  • Ability to effectively network and influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to explain complex subjects in a clear and succinct way
  • Capable in developing different commercial viewpoints
  • Good organisation and governance skills
  • Experience of working in a highly regulated environment
