Advanced Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our DVT service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing DVT and anticoagulation issues in patients.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct thorough medical histories and clinical examinations to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Provide a nurse-led screening, investigation, and treatment service for patients with suspected and/or proven DVT.
- Develop and implement evidence-based care plans to meet individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and agencies to improve service delivery and quality of care.
- Participate in education and development of other staff members.
- Current registration with the NMC as a first-level nurse (RGN).
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Mentorship or teaching qualification.
- Clinical examination skills at master's level.
- Evidence of relevant recent professional development.
- Leadership course.
- Intermediate Life Support training (ILS).
- Clinical diagnostic skills at minimum of degree level.
- Management course or qualification.
- Substantial experience in managing anticoagulation.
- Experience in assessment and management of VTE.
- Experience in autonomous management of complex patients within an urgent or primary care setting.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the organization's vision for the future development of services.
- Experience of mentorship and preceptorship of junior staff.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant clinical guidelines.
- Experience of exploring innovative ways of working and ensuring best practice within the clinical area.
- Experience of autonomous clinical decision-making.
- Experience of mentorship and learning skills.
- Experience in leading innovation and change in clinical practice and evaluating service delivery.
- Experience of working collaboratively with other agencies and professions to deliver change.
- Experience of self-management and managing others.
- Experience in presenting and leading groups.
- Knowledge of professional and NHS issues.
