About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced health and safety professional to lead our group's safety initiatives. As a Group Health and Safety Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety strategies across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, and mentoring teams to enhance their health and safety capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety strategies to reduce risks and improve health and safety performance
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety performance and provide guidance to site teams
  • Collaborate with contractors, regulators, and agencies to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Mentor and coach site teams to enhance their health and safety capabilities
  • Engage with staff to improve safety awareness and influence workplace culture
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Diploma or working towards it, and IOSH membership are a plus but not required
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation
  • Passionate and proactive approach to health and safety
  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, or shipping
