Children and Young Persons Domestic Abuse Advocate

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children and Young Persons Domestic Abuse Advocate to join our team at Victim Support. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist support to children and young people who have been affected by domestic abuse.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments to ensure each child or young person receives a tailored support package that meets their individual needs.
- Provide one-to-one support to children and young people, including safety planning, advocacy, and emotional and practical support.
- Effectively manage a caseload of different risk level cases, providing specialist support to reduce risk and increase safety.
- Review risk assessments on an ongoing basis, ensuring appropriate action is taken to protect children and young people from harm.
- Establish links with statutory partners, including Social Care, Education, Health, and Police, to support children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse.
- Advocate on behalf of children and young people to ensure their diverse needs are met.
