About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about supporting victims of domestic abuse. As a Hospital Independent Domestic Violence Advocate, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
  • Providing a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritized according to risk.
  • Working within a multi-agency framework to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
  • Sharing your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good understanding of domestic abuse, including its impact on victims and their children.
  • Knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
