Domestic Abuse Advocate

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our DRIVE IDVA Team as a Domestic Abuse Advocate. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-risk survivors of domestic abuse, providing medium to long-term support and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Work in partnership with other professionals to ensure effective risk management and safeguarding duties are met.
- Develop and maintain effective partnership working with statutory, private, and voluntary agencies to address domestic abuse.
- Hold a caseload of high-risk survivors, providing support based on thorough risk assessment and individual safety and support planning.
- Work within a multi-agency framework, keeping safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
- Knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse.
- Good understanding of domestic abuse, including its impact on victims and their children.
- Understanding of risk assessment, safety planning, and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children.
- Understanding of safeguarding issues and legal responsibilities.
- Direct service delivery experience with victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable individuals.
