Telecoms Engineer with Infrastructure Expertise

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Telecoms Engineer to join our team. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for managing technical and installation aspects of telecom projects. You will connect end customers with internal teams, ensure project goals are met, and conduct risk assessments and health & safety checks on sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, commission, and integrate customer equipment, adhering to company policies.
- Provide first-line problem-solving support and escalate issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal PMO teams and external clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Expertise in health & safety systems and quality procedures.
- Knowledge of telecom infrastructures such as BT's networks (internal and external).
- Proficiency with a wide range of networking and RF equipment (Huawei, Nokia, Cisco).
- Familiarity with various communication technologies (ADSL, Copper, Fibre, Structured Cabling).
Requirements
You should have significant hands-on experience in the telecoms industry, including working with internal and external BT networks. Strong technical knowledge of networking, data communications, and general telecommunications is essential, as is the ability to work with a variety of equipment and software tools (Excel, Word, Visio).
