Lead Pharmacist for Anaesthetics and Critical Care

The Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS is seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead the pharmacy services for Anaesthetics and Critical Care. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the Clinical Pharmacy service for Anaesthetics and Critical Care, including responsibility for Critical Care wards, Theatres, Acute and Chronic Pain services, and Resuscitation services.
- Manage and lead the Anaesthetics and Critical Care pharmacy team.
- Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and protocols within Anaesthetics and Critical Care.
- Contribute to the management of the drugs budget for Anaesthetics and Critical Care and implement cost-saving initiatives.
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience in leading pharmacy services in Anaesthetics and Critical Care or alternative Emergency Care pathways. They will also have a strong understanding of current national standards, guidelines, and service delivery issues relevant to patients in medicine.
Requirements
- Postgraduate Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice/Clinical Pharmacy.
- Advanced clinical knowledge of Anaesthetics and Critical Care (currently practicing at equivalent of Advanced Stage 1 in Critical Care).
- Excellent leadership, organizational, prioritization, time management, personal effectiveness, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
