Job Title: Associate Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced Associate Lawyer to join our Construction and Engineering team in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with the construction aspects of major property developments and regeneration projects, as well as significant engineering projects in the energy sector.

Clients include developers, contractors, public sector bodies, funders, and consultants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on development agreements, building contracts, bonds, and guarantees.
  • Assist with professional appointments and project management.
  • Develop an understanding of the impact of external market forces on clients and identify trends for business development opportunities.
  • Present legal information in an understandable format and make effective use of the firm's information management systems.
Requirements
  • Strong legal knowledge and experience in construction and engineering law.
  • Excellent presentational and writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with clients.
  • Respect for diversity and commitment to inclusivity.
