Lead DevOps Engineer

Head Resourcing is partnering with a leading retail bank to find a skilled DevOps Engineer to join their team in London.
About the RoleThis hybrid role involves taking on leadership responsibilities, coaching and mentoring peers, while remaining hands-on to tackle complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of engineers, guiding and mentoring them, while setting an example through hands-on contributions in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Collaborate on building resilient, distributed systems on public cloud infrastructure with a strong emphasis on Azure, and extending to GCP.
- Drive architectural simplicity and operational excellence by minimizing manual interventions through automation and scaling cloud services.
- Expertise with CI/CD tools, including Azure DevOps, Terraform, and ARM Templates, and solid experience in automating deployment processes.
- Experience in Chaos Engineering, implementing resiliency strategies, and leading disaster recovery planning.
- Hands-on experience managing network layers (L3-L7), DNS, and public key infrastructure (PKI).
- A competitive salary of up to £118k depending on experience.
