Job Title: Hardware Design Expert

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Design Expert to join our team at Talent Engineering. As a key member of our electronics design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing hardware components for lighting systems used in military environments.

About the Role:
In this role, you will work primarily on hardware design but may also contribute to firmware and software development with our dedicated software engineers. You will be involved in new design projects as well as providing support to existing production.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out detailed electronic circuit design, including simulation and design verification testing.
  • Create designs that involve electronic control of the electrical, optical, and thermal performance of LED lighting systems.
  • Select new parts, considering obsolescence, availability, and cost.
  • Prepare and present electronic designs to other members of the team.

Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience in hardware design within a relevant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of analogue and digital design, including microprocessors/microcontrollers.
  • Familiarity with schematic, PCB, and simulation using Altium Designer or similar software.
  • Experience with firmware development in C.
  • Knowledge of design for Military/Avionics applications, including EMI/EMC specifications.
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum.
