Talent Engineering Seeks Electronics Design Expert

We are a leading engineering firm, and we're currently looking for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team.

This is a full-time position based on-site with flexible working hours. As part of our 4-day working week policy, you'll have plenty of time to focus on your projects.

To be eligible for this role, you must have the right to work in the UK.

About the Role

The successful candidate will design electronic circuits, including simulation and verification testing. You'll lay out PCBs using Altium Designer software and select new parts considering factors such as obsolescence, availability, and cost.

You'll create designs that control the electrical, optical, and thermal performance of LED lighting systems and prepare and present electronic designs to colleagues.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designing electronic circuits, including simulation and verification testing.
  • Laying out PCBs using Altium Designer software.
  • Selecting new parts, considering factors such as obsolescence, availability, and cost.
  • Creating designs that control the electrical, optical, and thermal performance of LED lighting systems.
  • Preparing and presenting electronic designs to colleagues.
  • Documenting design work and preparing reports.
  • Supporting the Electronic Design Team Leader in recording and reporting design progress.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in hardware design within a relevant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of analogue and digital design, including microprocessors/microcontrollers.
  • Familiarity with schematic, PCB, and simulation using Altium Designer or similar tools.
  • Experience in firmware development in C.
  • Knowledge of design specifications for Military/Avionics applications, including EMI/EMC standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum

Location: This role is based in the UK.
