Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Installation Manager to join our team at oilandgas. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to employees and clients on all aspects of mechanical and HVAC systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to employees and clients on mechanical and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct technical audits on sub-contractors and field engineers to ensure they are working to regulation standards and meeting company expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including F-Gas, Oftec, Gas Safe, Water Regulations, and Building Regs.
  • Manage and review certification requirements to ensure company compliance.
  • Assist with planning and invoice queries related to HVAC and mechanical works.
  • Develop and deliver in-house training programs to ensure staff meet expected standards.
  • Travel to various site locations across the UK to provide technical support and guidance to engineers.
  • Support the appointment and auditing of sub-contractors.

Working Relationships

The successful candidate will work closely with Field Engineers, Operations Director, Contract Managers, Procurement & Supplier Relationship Manager & Team, Service Delivery Manager & Team, RFMs, and Building Services & Small Works Department.

Person Specification
  • Relevant technical experience in a similar role.
  • Driving Licence (Full UK).
  • Manufacturer training on HVAC Systems / Mechanical.
  • HVAC / Mechanical qualifications (installation, maintenance).
  • Heat Pump Qualifications / Training.
  • Refrigeration Qualifications / Training.
Experience
  • Site experience of five years' minimum carrying out installation and maintenance works on all aspects of HVAC / Mechanical works.
  • Site experience on building services covering all aspects of technical disciplines such as electrical, Gas, fire alarms.
  • Experience of working with remote field teams.
  • Literate, able to competently work with MS office products.
  • Commercial understanding of business.
Adaptability/Flexibility/Mobility
  • Willing and able to travel.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Quotes submitted within 7 days - 90%.
  • Sub-contractor audits & reviews - 2 per top tier contractor per annum.
