Main Responsibilities

As a Technical Leader - Installations, you will be responsible for providing technical support and advice to employees and clients on all technical issues relating to mechanical and HVAC systems. This includes carrying out technical audits on sub-contractors and field engineers to ensure they are working to regulation standards and meeting company expectations.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the company meets compliance standards by monitoring, managing, and reviewing the necessary certification requirements under current regulations. This includes F-Gas, Oftec, Gas Safe, Water Regulations, and Building Regs.

Additionally, you will be responsible for attending client meetings on site to discuss new and ongoing works, providing accurate and value-for-money quotations for new and ongoing works, and assisting with all planning and invoice queries relating to HVAC and mechanical works.

You will also be responsible for assisting with the development of staff by identifying skills gaps and supporting individuals in gaining the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to carry out works competently.

Key Performance Indicators include:

  • Quotes submitted within 7 days - 90%
  • Quotes over 30 days - 0
  • Average Margins - agreed periodically
  • Sub-contractor audits & reviews - 2 per top tier contractor per annum
  • Certification audits - 1 per month per engineer
  • Engineer Technical Audits - minimum 1 per annum per engineer
  • Accuracy of quotes within control of lead - 100%
