Hours of Work: 08:00 – 17:00 Monday – Friday with a requirement for remote on-call support.
About the role:
As a Transport Scheduler, you will work closely with the feed mill production team to schedule feed deliveries and collections to and from various farms and sites across England and Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently scheduling deliveries to farms and collection of raw materials
- Managing driver movements ensuring compliance with driver regulations
- Arranging required services and testing with the garage or contractors
- Working with the production team to ensure the right mix of raw materials is available
- Communicating any potential shortfalls or constraints that may impact daily plans
- Being a point of contact out of hours to support farm changes
Requirements:
- A sound understanding of driver rules and working time directive
- Working knowledge of transport operations
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office
- Previous experience within animal feed or agriculture would be beneficial
- Strong communications skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to adapt to changes in production, plans, and on the road
