Job Description

This part-time occupational therapy assistant role is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with mental health conditions.

You'll be working as a key member of the occupational therapy service department at Brunswick, supporting qualified occupational therapy staff and facilitating group activities and 1:1 sessions.

The role requires you to develop treatment and care plans under the direction and supervision of a qualified occupational therapist.

A competitive salary of £24,500-£32,000 per annum is offered, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver treatment and care plans where appropriate under the direction and supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
  2. Collaborate with Nursing and Support Worker staff to meet the diverse needs of service users and the function of the wards.
  3. Contribute to The Occupational Therapy Process to enhance Service User independence and well-being.
Requirements
  • Health and Social Care Diploma level 2 or a commitment to achieve this within 12 months.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
  • A willingness to work creatively and think outside the box to benefit Service Users.
