Operations Support Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Operations Support Manager to join our team at Braintree District Council. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a variety of teams that carry out statutory and non-statutory tasks with impending legislative changes.

The Role:

As an Operations Support Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Strategy & Business Development Manager with the development and delivery of services within Operations. You will manage the Supervisors and Officers in Waste Minimisation & Sustainability, Business Support, the Cemeteries Service, and the Markets Officer, as well as an Apprentice who will work across the teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop teams to deliver high-quality services
  • Support the development and delivery of services within Operations
  • Lead on promoting team services and identifying initiatives
  • Attend partnership meetings, trade events, and conferences
  • Support the implementation of outcomes from these events

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in managing a variety of teams
  • Proven effective results in team management
  • Dynamic, can-do, and 'thinking outside the box' attitude
  • Understanding of the industry and/or relevant qualifications a bonus
