We are seeking an experienced Operations Support Manager to join our busy Operations Team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a variety of teams that carry out statutory and non-statutory tasks with impending legislative changes.

The Role:

As an Operations Support Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Strategy & Business Development Manager with the development and delivery of services within Operations. You will manage the Supervisors and Officers in Waste Minimisation & Sustainability, Business Support, the Cemeteries Service, and the Markets Officer, as well as an Apprentice who will work across the teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop the Operations Team to ensure effective delivery of services
  • Support the Strategy & Business Development Manager in the development and delivery of services within Operations
  • Lead on promoting the teams' services and identifying and delivering initiatives
  • Attend partnership meetings, trade events, and conferences to stay up-to-date with industry news and legislative changes

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in managing a variety of teams with proven, effective results
  • Dynamic, can-do, and 'thinking outside the box' attitude
  • Ability to manage own workload and ensure teams are progressing and meeting targets and deadlines
  • Flexibility around working hours, including weekend out-of-hours duty rota
  • Ability to drive and have access to a vehicle for work purposes
