About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Neurorehabilitation team at King's College Hospital. As a Senior Clinician, you will be responsible for providing specialist assessment and treatment services to adults with communication and swallowing disorders following acquired neurological impairment.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working in a rehabilitation setting, managing their own caseload and using a range of assessment and therapy techniques. They will also have experience of specialist assessment and differential diagnosis with complex caseloads.

In this role, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team in Neurorehabilitation to assess, plan, and provide rehabilitation goals and programmes for patients. You will also be responsible for coordinating communication developments and promoting environmental changes that support those with communication difficulties.

We are looking for a highly motivated and able individual who can demonstrate leadership skills and ability to work at a senior level in partnership with other professionals and agencies. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical supervision and line management skills, as well as the ability to plan and implement appropriate highly specialist treatment packages.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience of adult acquired brain injury in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Ability to manage own caseload and use a range of assessment and therapy techniques.
  • Experience of specialist assessment and differential diagnosis with complex caseloads.
  • Good knowledge of communication aids and computer-based communication therapy programmes.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £51,883 - £58,544 per annum (pro rata), plus a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and generous annual leave allowance.
