About the Role

Acer Trust is seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to lead our finance team and drive the Trust's financial strategy forward. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of our organisation and ensuring we remain financially stable and resilient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with the Trust's overall vision and goals
  • Lead the finance team to deliver high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and planning
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to inform strategic decision-making and drive business growth
  • Embed a culture of financial prudence and risk management across the organisation
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including schools, governors, and external partners
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in finance, with a relevant qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, with a track record of delivering financial growth and improvement
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
