We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Community Outreach Specialist to join our team at Talbots. As a Community Outreach Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and fostering a culture of hospitality through exceptional customer experiences and building enduring relationships both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement strategies to drive sales and service metrics in key measurable areas, including clientelling/outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and community partners to promote Talbots and drive business growth.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the store team to achieve sales and service goals, including planning and prioritizing tasks and responsibilities to meet customer needs.
  • Stay up-to-date on current products, fashion trends, and company initiatives to effectively communicate with customers and promote Talbots.
  • Participate in community and store activities, events, and initiatives to promote Talbots and build relationships with customers and community partners.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of sales and customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
