Riverside Church Trust is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our Children\u2019s Ministry. As the Head of Community Outreach, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to engage and disciple children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead a team of volunteers to deliver an engaging and life-changing program for children and their families.
  • Design and implement a biblical curriculum of teaching for children\u2019s groups, incorporating video and camera content where necessary.
  • Lead services with multi-generational content and serve as a voice for children in the planning and execution of all services.
  • Build relationships with families on the fringes of the church through existing outreach ministries, such as Stay & Play.
  • Collaborate with the Generations Team to deliver joined-up projects, including holiday clubs, family events, and mentoring to connect with and bring new families into the church.
  • Oversee the discipleship of all children from ages 0-11, including small discipleship groups for children at Key Stage Two age.
  • Work with the Worship Director to develop children\u2019s worship and use of spiritual gifts.
  • Host and organize children\u2019s residentials for growth and discipleship.
  • Provide prayer, pastoral, and practical support for families with children aged 0-11 years.
  • Ensure adherence to our Safeguarding policy in the care of all children and volunteers.
Requirements
  • This is a part-time role (30 hours) equivalent to 4 days per week.
  • The role will include working on Sundays and some evenings as required.
  • Salary: £22,050 - £22,932 (depending on experience) based on 30 hours per week (FTE £27,562- £28,665) plus 5% employer\u2019s pension contribution.
  • Associated expenses will be paid.
  • Holiday entitlement: 5 working weeks, plus statutory public holidays and Christmas-week break.
  • There will be a 6-month probationary period. Every 12 months, the role will be reviewed as part of a staff development process. Riverside will require the post-holder to undertake appropriate training from time to time, which will be funded accordingly.
