Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Skilled Careers. As a key member of our development business, you will be responsible for overseeing key stages of our high-rise developments across Manchester, Liverpool, and Chester.
With a background in Site Management, Building Control, or as an Inspector with a Warranty Provider, you will have a deep understanding of quality assurance processes and procedures. Your expertise will be essential in establishing and implementing QA policies, procedures, and standards that align with our company best practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing quality plans for construction projects, including defining quality criteria, inspection and testing protocols, and quality assurance checkpoints.
- Overseeing the execution of quality control processes throughout the construction project lifecycle, including monitoring workmanship, materials, and compliance with specifications.
- Evaluating and selecting reliable vendors and suppliers of construction materials and equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Providing training and guidance to construction teams on quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Identifying potential quality risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, such as conducting risk assessments, implementing preventive measures, and addressing issues promptly.
- Conducting regular inspections, audits, and quality reviews of construction activities, processes, and deliverables to verify compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
- Managing documentation related to quality assurance activities, including maintaining records of inspections, test results, non-conformities, corrective actions, and quality assurance reports.
- Investigating non-conformities, defects, and quality issues, and leading efforts to implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives, requirements, and expectations.
- Facilitating clear and effective communication regarding quality-related matters.
- Monitoring quality performance metrics, analysing data trends, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and quality enhancements across projects.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, standards, regulations, and industry certifications applicable to construction projects.
We offer a competitive salary of between £60,000 - £65,000 per annum, plus a package including car allowance, pension, healthcare, 26+ days annual leave, and other benefits.
