Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Skilled Careers. As a key member of our development business, you will be responsible for overseeing key stages of our residential developments across Manchester, Liverpool, and Chester.
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will have a background in Site Management, Building Control, or possibly as an Inspector with a Warranty Provider. Your expertise will be essential in establishing and implementing QA policies, procedures, and standards that align with our company best practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing quality plans for construction projects, including defining quality criteria, inspection and testing protocols, and quality assurance checkpoints.
- Overseeing the execution of quality control processes throughout the construction project lifecycle, including monitoring workmanship, materials, and compliance with specifications.
- Evaluating and selecting reliable vendors and suppliers of construction materials and equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Providing training and guidance to construction teams on quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Identifying potential quality risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, such as conducting risk assessments, implementing preventive measures, and addressing issues promptly.
- Conducting regular inspections, audits, and quality reviews of construction activities, processes, and deliverables to verify compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
- Managing documentation related to quality assurance activities, including maintaining records of inspections, test results, non-conformities, corrective actions, and quality assurance reports.
- Investigating non-conformities, defects, and quality issues, and leading efforts to implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives, requirements, and expectations.
- Facilitating clear and effective communication regarding quality-related matters.
- Monitoring quality performance metrics, analysing data trends, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and quality enhancements across projects.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, standards, regulations, and industry certifications applicable to construction projects.
We offer a competitive salary of between £60,000 - £65,000 per annum, plus a package including car allowance, pension, healthcare, 26+ days annual leave, and other benefits.
