Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join our team at ILS Case Management. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a real difference in the life of a young person with cerebral palsy.

Salary: £15.00 per hour Monday to Friday days and nights, £16.00 per hour Weekend days and nights.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing daily care needs, transfers, and monitoring seizures for a client with dystonic cerebral palsy and epilepsy. You will also engage in social activities within the community and support the client's therapy programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and hygiene assistance
  • Assist with transfers using hoisting equipment
  • Monitor seizures and take notes on seizure patterns
  • Engage in social activities and outings with the client
  • Support the client's therapy programme

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience working with individuals with complex needs, preferably with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. You must also be able to communicate effectively, work independently, and be patient, tactful, and understanding.
